Nina Lee Fine Art is moving to Fort Collins, CO

If you’ve got a wedding booked in Wisconsin, don’t worry, I’ll be flying back for all of my 2026 weddings. Going forward, I’ll be based in Fort Collins, Colorado for all 2027 and 2028 weddings.

As I settle in, I’ve completed my first live wedding painting in Colorado. This came up as a last minute request (I literally spoke to the wedding planner Katie Waite for the first time the morning of the wedding). The wedding was done by a charity called Wish Upon a Wedding that helps couples struggling with a terminal illness to have the wedding of their dreams. Because I’m booked out for the rest of the year in Wisconsin, I’ve left all of my live painting supplies. With that in mind, I ended up painting my first Colorado live wedding painting in watercolor.

I gathered inspiration from the gorgeous venue Blanc Denver

The creeping vines add the perfect decoration to frame the painting.

I also gathered inspiration from Jack Rabbit Florals who provided the stunning flower arrangements

I ended up purchasing an easel on the way to Denver because I didn’t have my portable easel on hand. I can’t believe how well it all came together in such a short amount of time.

Although it all came together at the last minute and I felt entirely unprepared, I love how this painting turned out. The effect of the watercolors can be somewhat unpredictable, but I find that can be part of its charm. I’m grateful to have been a part of this beautiful moment and I hope that my work provided the family with another memory to cherish.
